Huevitos

Bright coloured eggs climb up the mountain side
While those below take up the long trail and stroll.
The eggs they are quicker, flying from wire,
Than the walkers way down below.
Some ride in cars that won’t take them too far
And still must follow the winds of the road,
But the eggs still fly higher and higher
Past those way down below.
The eggs shuffle up, the eggs shuffle down,
Soar in bright colours with be-winged others,
Carry those inside to where they aspire
From way down below — but there’s a toll.
Bright coloured eggs climb up the mountain side
Past all of the others way down below.
