Arise! O wretched prisoners of this world!
Arise! O you who hunger and thirst for God!
A New World dawns, let her banners be unfurled
Across the horizon under His Rod.
A better world’s in birth for those willing
To yearn, to search, to read, to know, to see!
And for them a voice shall soon be filling
The East and West with cries of victory!
Death takes us away from this fleeting storm,
But for those who have died before their death
Death by them is conquered, shadow and form
Melt away, all are reborn by their breath.
Seek and strive not for the dawning of light,
But for the Light-Bearer – read, learn, recite!
