Poet’s Block

I lament that I cannot seem to write!
Indeed it seems that words cannot
Grasp such beauty or else forgot
At the sight of thy fiery light.
For how can there be such words whose gleaming
Touches the attraction you show
To me: gentle, soft as dawnlight beaming,
And honest as the virgin snow?
In truth, I am hard-pressed to write of you,
My joyful heart’s tender delight,
So if one day I do not write of you
Think not my love is not contrite:
For the words are not known to simple me
To encompass such fine delicacy.
